Insider Intel: Hunter PR Internships

Summer will be here before we know it and you’re ready to apply for your #DreamSummerInternship. Well, you’ve come to the right place and we, @HunterPR, couldn’t be more excited to hear from you!

So, who are we?
Our “About Us” page will tell you we are an award-winning consumer public relations firm with offices in New York and London and a strategic footprint in markets across North America.

Translation: we are a full-service communications firm powered by forward thinkers, trend spotters and event planners with roots at universities around the country. At any given time, you will find our dynamic team members collaborating to create the next best campaign or brainstorming the perfect partnership.

What are we looking for?
We’re always on the hunt for rockstar students who are eager to gain hands-on experience alongside our fierce account teams and specialized services.

So what makes you stand out? Well, you need…

  • Current enrollment in a college or university program
  • Basic understanding of PR
  • Solid writing and communication skills
  • Positive, go-getter attitude and the tenacity to learn what a textbook can’t teach
  • PRSSA membership or involvement is definitely a gold star

The only catch? You need an established residence and transportation arrangements in the NY metro area for the duration of the internship period. Oh, and did we mention we pay our interns? Because we do.

What can you expect?
So you’ve applied (more info below!) to our internship, nailed your interviews, and have been accepted to our program - what’s next? When you walk through the halls of Hunter on your first day, you will be joining one of our account teams or specialized services, and be assigned to a direct supervisor to help you navigate everything from drafting press materials and building media lists to research for our next big event. Let’s just say when you join us at Hunter, no two days are ever the same!

What do you need to send our way, and by when do we need it?
We’ve been waiting for you to ask! To apply for an internship, please send a cover letter and resume to internship@hunterpr.com. We will contact applicants directly for interviews.
