Toms Brews Something Greater With the Launch of Toms Roasting Co.

In 2014, as part of its ongoing work for the socially conscious apparel and accessories company TOMS, Hunter PR was tasked with spreading the word about the company’s foray into the coffee business with the launch of TOMS Roasting Co. For every bag of coffee sold, TOMS gives one week of safe water to the countries from which the coffee was sourced. Hunter PR was tasked with supporting the announcement of this initiative by generating media opportunities for the company and founder Blake Mycoskie, and for communicating the company’s mission of identifying global needs and creating products to help communities address them. The TOMS Roasting Co. launch resulted in a total of 73 placements and more than 261 million media impressions in a wide variety of media outlets—from the business pages to epicurean outlets, including feature stories in The New York Times, Business Insider and CNN.
