Cinco de Mayo is one of the most popular US celebratory holidays for bars and restaurants, but due to COVID-19 many of these establishments were shut down leaving bartenders and restaurant staff out of work. HUNTER in collaboration with agency partners helped Tequila Don Julio develop an innovative and first-of-its-kind virtual space to safely celebrate Cinco de Mayo while giving back to those in the hospitality industry. The brand developed 30-plus new social assets with bartenders from across the country demonstrating at-home Cinco-inspired recipes. Tequila Don Julio then teamed up with celebrity-connecting platform Cameo to host exclusive Cinco de Mayo virtual happy hours with top bartenders and celebrities to raise awareness and funds for the Restaurant Workers’ Community Foundation. All efforts were centered around creating a once-in-a-lifetime Cinco experience all while supporting the community which has been the heart and soul of the holiday.
